RULES AND CONDITIONS
Entry fee: A non-refundable entry fee of R50.00 per artwork must be payable upon entering the competition. Please use the entry reference number to make your payment.
If a payment is made without a reference nor or a wrong reference, the City of Ekurhuleni does not take accountability to accept and consider the application
- The competition is open to those over the age of 18.
- Only South African citizens can enter the competition (Copy of ID must be included)
- The adjudication team determines the right to set the standard of the competition.
- The decision of the adjudicators is final. No correspondence will be entered into about reasons for acceptance or non-acceptance of artworks.
- All artworks must be ready and suitable for exhibition.
- All entered artworks must have been completed within 12 months of this entry date and have not previously won any other award.
- The first prize winner will be required to serve on the adjudicators' panel for the next fine arts awards.
- One hundred (100) artworks will be selected by the adjudicators. The Artists of these artworks will be notified via an automated email.
- Organizers will not handle sales transactions or delivery of artworks. Works sold at the exhibition will be the responsibility of the artist.
- Artworks selected for the exhibition and artworks sold on the opening night may only be collected between 08:00 to 16:00 from 31 October to 05 November
2024 at the Coen Scholtz Recreational Centre, Ekurhuleni. The organizers accept no responsibility for works of art not collected on these days.
- Artworks not collected within six months after the exhibition will be disposed of or become the property of the City of Ekurhuleni.
